As I rummaged through the listings of https://www.omprakash.org/ I was seeing that some of the rural mountain schools in Nepal are literally just asking for donations of colored pencils and paper to catalyst the teaching programs at Boarding Schools.

This is the way a lot of people develop in different countries. Their parents willingly send them off to another place to live in order to get education from elementary on, despite the heartbreak of separation. This will ensure that the child grows up with language and developmental skills to keep up in the modern world.

This is difficult due to the lack of Federal education within these countries, therefore making the funding for schools solely the organization’s responsibility.

Many of these schools are high elevation with nearby villages, where it is nearly impossible for me to ship them school supplies. Therefore wiring them money gives them the best chance to utilize the resources as they see fit. A lot of these schools have volunteer-based medical facilities as well for the students and neighboring villagers.

We donated enough money for pencils, paper, and keyboards to a rural boarding school in Nepal!
